Jake Elliott Latest News
Misses three kicks Thursday
Elliott went 2-for-4 on field-goal attempts and 2-for-3 on extra-point tries in Thursday's 26-18 win over the Commanders. Both of Elliott's field-goal misses came in the first half, as he missed from 44 and 51 yards early in the first and second quarter, respectively. He managed to get back on track with successful attempts from 21 and 31 yards, but he ended up missing his first extra-point attempt of the season early in the fourth quarter. In the six regular-season games since the Eagles' Week 5 bye, Elliott has gone 10-for-14 on field-goal attempts and 17-for-18 on extra-point tries. He'll look to get back on track in Week 12 against the Rams on Sunday, Nov. 24.
Perfect in blowout win
Elliott converted on both of his two field-goal attempts and made all four of his extra-point tries during Sunday's 34-6 win at Dallas. Elliott's longest field-goal attempt in Week 10 came from 39 yards out early in the fourth quarter to put the Eagles up 31-6. He's been automatic on short kicks this season and gets plenty of chances with one of the league's top offensive units, so he projects as a solid fantasy play when Philadelphia hosts the Commanders in Week 11.
Third miss this season
Elliott made his lone extra-point in Sunday's 28-23 win over the Jaguars but missed one of his two field-goal attempts. Elliott was good from 43 yards in the second quarter but hit the right upright from 57 yards with 2:16 remaining in the game. The Eagles went for two after three of their four touchdowns, denying Elliott the chance at a big fantasy day despite putting up plenty of points. Elliott has now missed three of his 13 field goal attempts this season after missing just two of 32 last year, but all of his misses have been from beyond 50 yards.
Three field goals in big win
Elliott made all three of his field-goal tries and all four of his extra-point attempts in Sunday's 37-17 win over the Bengals. Elliott was good from 39 yards in the second quarter and good from 49 and 47 yards in the fourth. This was the busiest he's been all season. The most field goals he's made in a game this year prior to Week 8 was two, while the last time he'd attempted more than five total kicks in a game was back in Week 1.
No field goals required in blowout
Elliott made all four of his extra points but was never asked to kick a field goal in Sunday's 28-3 win over the Giants. The Eagles ran all over the Giants, but that success didn't translate to much fantasy value for their kicker. Elliott has only attempted a total of eight field goals through six games this season, making six. Both marks rank 31st among all kickers.
Blocked from 57 yards
Elliott made two field goals from 40-plus yards as well as both of his extra-point attempts in Sunday's 20-16 win over the Browns but also had a 57-yard kick blocked and returned for a touchdown. The kick was blocked by Myles Garrett and returned by former Eagle Rodney McLeod, marking the only time the Browns would reach the end zone all game. Elliott has now failed both of his attempts from beyond 50 yards this season and has only made six field goals in five games on the season.
Slow day in loss
Elliott made both of his extra-point tries in Sunday's 33-16 loss to the Buccaneers. Elliott didn't attempt a field goal in the loss but he was able to move to 8-for-8 on the season for PATs. While he'll remain stagnant at 4-for-5 on FGAs in the 2024 campaign thus far. Elliott and the Eagles are now in a bye week but will return to action in Week 6 against the Browns.
Misses lone field goal
Elliott made his only extra-point attempt, but he missed a field-goal try in the Eagles' 15-12 win over the Saints on Sunday. Elliott's miss came from 60 yards out and was wide right. At the time the Eagles were trailing 7-6 in the fourth quarter. It was the Memphis product's first miss of the season, and he's now 4-for-5 on FGAs for the season. Next up for Elliott and Philadelphia is a Week 4 matchup with the Buccaneers.
Stays perfect to start season
Elliott made both of his point-after and field-goal attempts in Monday's 22-21 loss to the Falcons. Elliott made 29- and 28-yard field goals in the loss Monday. His final make gave the Eagles a six-point lead with less than two minutes to go, forcing Atlanta to march down the field and score a touchdown, which unfortunately for Philadelphia, is exactly what happened. Elliot is now 4-for-4 on FGAs this season and 5-for-5 on PATs. Next up in Week 3 is a matchup with New Orleans.
