Joins Patriots' practice squad
The Patriots signed Jiles to their practice squad Wednesday. Jiles was dropped from the Patriots' practice squad just over a week ago, but it now appears the team has had a change of heart. Loses spot
Jiles was cut from the Patriots' practice squad Tuesday, Mike Kadlick of CLNSMedia.com reports. Jiles signed with New England's practice squad last Tuesday, but it appears he wasn't able to prove enough in his week with the team to keep his spot. He'll now have to find another opportunity.
Gets new opportunity
Jiles signed with the Patriots' practice squad Tuesday. Jiles joined the Giants as an UDFA out of West Florida in May but was ultimately cut from the team in August. He'll now get another NFL opportunity in New England, where he'll work to earn his way to the 53-man roster.
Let go by Giants
The Giants waived Jiles on Sunday, Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record reports. Jiles caught one pass on five targets for 21 yards in the Giants' preseason finale against the Jets on Saturday. Should he go unclaimed off waivers, Jiles will look to sign with a team in need of wide receiver depth.
