The Texans waived Cephus on Tuesday. After being waived by the Bills in May, Cephus caught on with the Texans in mid-July before the start of training camp. He had been competing for a depth spot at wide receiver, and across four preseason games, he registered six catches on 10 targets for 40 yards. The 2020 fifth-round pick should garner some interest from teams in need of a wide receiver either on the active roster or practice squad.
