The 49ers waived Brown off the practice squad Tuesday, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports. Brown was unable to make the 49ers' 53-man roster at the end of training camp, but he opted to stick around on the practice squad. Assuming he clears waivers, the 25-year-old will look to catch on with a team in need of depth on the defensive line.
