Mullen (shoulder) was placed on injured reserve by the Ravens on Tuesday. Mullen dislocated his shoulder against the Packers in the team's preseason finale and he'll now be forced to sit out the entire 2024 season while on IR. If he reaches an injury settlement with Baltimore, he'll be free to sign elsewhere. Otherwise, he'll shift his focus to being ready to go for training camp in 2025.

Heads to IR
Mullen (shoulder) was placed on injured reserve by the Ravens on Tuesday. Mullen dislocated his shoulder against the Packers in the team's preseason finale and he'll now be forced to sit out the entire 2024 season while on IR. If he reaches an injury settlement with Baltimore, he'll be free to sign elsewhere. Otherwise, he'll shift his focus to being ready to go for training camp in 2025.
Dislocates shoulder vs. Green Bay
Head coach Jim Harbaugh told reporters that Mullen dislocated his shoulder during Saturday's 30-7 preseason loss to the Packers, Giana Han of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports. Mullen sustained the injury during the punt return, and he finished the game without recording a tackle. The 2019 second-round pick has been battling for a depth spot in the Ravens' secondary during training camp, but this injury severely hurts his chances of catching on with the 53-man roster.
Plays in loss
Mullen (shoulder) tallied two solo tackles and one pass defended in Saturday's 20-15 exhibition loss to the Falcons. Mullen had been sidelined for a couple weeks with a subluxation of his right shoulder, but it looks like his health is back up to par. He was on the field for 23 defensive snaps (34 percent), as well as three (14 percent) on special teams. The cornerback is competing for a depth role in Baltimore's secondary this season.
Dealing with another injury
Head coach John Harbaugh told reporters Wednesday that Mullen has a subluxation of his shoulder and will miss a few weeks, Brian Wacker of The Baltimore Sun reports. Mullen missed all of the Ravens' 2023 campaign due to a toe issue and is now expected to miss additional time with a shoulder injury. The 2019 second-round pick most recently appeared in eight regular-season games with the Cardinals and Cowboys in 2022, recording recorded 16 total tackles. Once he moves past his shoulder issue, expect Mullen to compete for a depth role in Baltimore's secondary.
Back on practice field
Mullen (toe) is participating in mandatory minicamp, Ryan Mink of the Ravens' official site reports. Mullen missed the entire 2023 season due to a toe injury, but he's now back on the practice field and competing for a roster spot. The veteran cornerback is capable of contributing both as a depth option on defense, and on special teams.
