Goodson did not have a carry or reception in Sunday's win at the Jets. Goodson played just two snaps on offense as Jonathan Taylor played on 63 of the offense's 70 snaps. Trey Sermon (five snaps) did play more snaps than Goodson but it may be Goodson that has more of a role as a pass catcher if the Colts fall far behind. Either way, neither Sermon or Goodson currently has much of a role if Taylor is fully healthy.

Tyler Goodson Latest News
Plays just two snaps in win
Goodson did not have a carry or reception in Sunday's win at the Jets. Goodson played just two snaps on offense as Jonathan Taylor played on 63 of the offense's 70 snaps. Trey Sermon (five snaps) did play more snaps than Goodson but it may be Goodson that has more of a role as a pass catcher if the Colts fall far behind. Either way, neither Sermon or Goodson currently has much of a role if Taylor is fully healthy.
Has TD catch in loss
Goodson had two receptions for nine yards on two targets, including a two-yard touchdown, in Sunday's loss to Buffalo. Goodson played nine snaps on offense as he was used in passing situations. However, it was notable that Jonathan Taylor stayed on the field late in the game despite the Colts falling far behind, so it's not certain that Goodson will get more playing time in clear passing situations.
No touches in Week 9
Goodson failed to record a single carry or target in Sunday's 21-13 loss to the Vikings. Goodson played just one offensive snap in the contest, matching a season low in the eight games he's played this season. With teammate Jonathan Taylor back to full health, Goodson has reverted to his No. 3 running back role, with teammate Trey Sermon slotting in as the top backup. The 23-year-old should not be considered for fantasy purposes as the Colts host the Bills in Week 10.
Has drop on only target
Goodson had a drop on his only target in Sunday's loss at Houston. Goodson played just two snaps on offense, as he and Trey Sermon will have limited backup roles with the return of Jonathan Taylor from an ankle injury. Goodson appeared to move ahead of Sermon in the backfield mix last week with Taylor out, but Sermon played 10 snaps Sunday with Taylor playing 52 snaps. Goodson's pass drop won't help him work his way into the backfield mix as the receiving back, either.
Scores first career TD
Goodson carried the ball 14 times for 51 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 16-10 win over the Dolphins. While Trey Sermon got the start in place of Jonathan Taylor (ankle), it was Goodson who had the more productive day out of the backfield, capping his performance with a seven-yard run in the third quarter that resulted in his first career NFL touchdown. Taylor could return in Week 8 for a tilt against the Texans, but if he's not ready to go, coach Shane Steichen might decide to ride the hot hand between Goodson and Sermon again, making both backs volatile fantasy options.
Efficient in Week 6 win
Goodson rushed eight times for 51 yards and brought in four of five targets for 14 yards in the Colts' 20-17 win over the Titans on Sunday. Goodson finished with a team-high amount of rushing yards thanks in large part to a game-long 33-yard run. The second-year back was also encouragingly involved as a pass catcher, with his four receptions serving as a career high. If Jonathan Taylor (ankle) is forced to sit out a third consecutive game in next Sunday's home matchup against the Dolphins, Goodson may have earned himself a much closer time share with interim lead back Trey Sermon.
Tallies 86 all-purpose yards
Goodson rushed five times for 26 yards and brought in all three targets for 31 yards in the Colts' 37-34 loss to the Jaguars on Sunday. He also returned one kickoff for 29 yards. Goodson saw extended action as part of the domino effect of Jonathan Taylor's (ankle) absence, with the former checking in as the change-of-pace option to lead back Trey Sermon. Goodson was efficient with his limited opportunities after checking into the game with only one touch from scrimmage this season, but he'd likely slide back into fantasy irrelevance if Taylor is able to return for a Week 6 road matchup against the Titans.
Minimal role on offense again
Goodson did not have a carry or target in Sunday's win over Chicago. He played just two snaps on offense. Goodson is a clear third running back behind Jonathan Taylor and Trey Sermon. Goodson could get more playing time in passing situations when the Colts are trailing, but is unlikely to get significant playing time unless one of the top two running backs are hurt.
Minimal role on offense
Goodson had one reception for two yards on his lone target in Sunday's loss at Green Bay. Goodson played on just nine of the offense's 56 snaps but got most of his usage late in the fourth quarter when the Colts were playing from behind. Jonathan Taylor was surprisingly on the bench late in the game after some drops earlier in the game, so Trey Sermon and Tyler Goodson could see more of a role in the passing game. Goodson didn't play on offense in Week 1.
