Spartans Hang on

Nebraska was only 37-yards away from completing its historic comeback at Michigan State.

With 30 seconds remaining, Nebraska was driving down the field to try and win the game, but Michigan State intercepted the ball at the end of the game to hang on at the end of the game.

Huskers Making Comeback

After entering the fourth quarter trailing 27-3, Nebraska has made what seemed to be a blowout into a close game. The Huskers have scored three touchdowns, including a 62-yard punt return for a touchdown by DeMornay Pierson-El, in the fourth quarter, to close Michigan State’s lead to 27-22 with three and a half minutes remaining.

Spartans Dominate First Half

Michigan State is looking to prove it still has a chance at the four-team playoff.

The Spartans made a point in the first half Saturday night against Nebraska, who entered the game with a 5-0 record, by building a 17-0 halftime lead.

The Spartans struck first in the first quarter when quarterback Connor Cook found Tony Lippett for a 55-yard touchdown pass.

In the second quarter, Michigan State running back Jeremy Langford ran for a 41 yard touchdown, which was followed by a 28-yard field goal from Michael Geiger later in the quarter.

The No. 10 Spartans (3-1, 0-0 Big Ten) get their second chance to prove something tonight when No. 19 Nebraska (5-0, 1-0) visits Spartan Stadium in one of the most important games of the Big Ten season.
