Nicki Meyer, the oldest daughter of Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer, got engaged to Georgia Tech wide receiver Corey Dennis. The proposal, which was recorded and posted on Nicki’s Instagram, came Monday night in front of the Meyer family. The video can be seen above.

1. Nicki is the Oldest of the 3 Meyer Children

Nicole, 24, is the oldest of Urban and Shelley Meyer’s three kids. She has a sister, Gigi, and brother, Nate.

When talk of Urban taking the Ohio State job, Nicki made headlines when she drafted her own contract for the coach. Written on pink notebook paper, it was a list of dos and don’ts. While some of her goals were unrealistic, it did spark a conversation in the family that led to compromise.

2. Nicki & Dennis Met at Georgia Tech

Meyer and her new fiancee were both Georgia Tech athletes. She played on the volleyball team as a libero/defensive specialist for all of her four years at the school. In 2011, her junior year, she was named to the ACC All-Academic Team.

Dennis, 22, is a senior at the school and is in his fourth season on the football team as a wide receiver.

Meyer graduated with a degree in business administration while Dennis is studying the same major.

3. Meyer Is Very Public About Their Relationship on Instagram

It was only fitting that the proposal video ended up on Instagram as Meyer is very public about their relationship. From her wearing his jersey to bouquets of flowers and jewelry from him to the two of them together, Nicki has plenty of photographic evidence of the relationship on the social media site. The first picture on her account of them together came in November of 2012.

4. Meyer Says She’s Very Close to Her Father

In a Cleveland.com article, both of the Meyer girls said they consider their father to be one of their best friends.

5. Ohio State Will Play in the Sugar Bowl on New Year’s Day

Urban Meyer will have to take a break from helping his daughter start wedding planning to coach his Ohio State Buckeyes in the Sugar Bowl against Alabama on New Year’s day. The surprising post season run came after a 59-0 rout of Wisconsin in Cardale Jones’s first career start.
