Defending Daytona 500 champion Dale Earnhardt Jr. is the favorite to win this year’s season-opening race, which will be held Sunday.
The driver of the No. 88 Nationwide Chevrolet SS, who also won the race in 2004, has 9/1 odds to win the 57th running of the Daytona 500, according to Bovada.
The “Great American Race” can be seen on Fox at 1 p.m. Eastern from Daytona International Speedway.
Jeff Gordon, who announced last month this would be the last Daytona 500 of his career, will start on the pole. Hendrick Motorsports teammate Jimmie Johnson will join in him in the front row. Gordon is listed at 10/1 and Johnson 12/1.
The remaining lineup will be set Thursday night during the Daytona Duels, which will begin at 7 p.m. Eastern on Fox Sports 1.
