The 2015 MLB spring training starts tomorrow, and a few teams are jumping right in with pitchers and catchers reporting right away. While most of the country is dealing with snow and freezing temperatures, the long days of practice in the hot sun are sure to be a welcome change.
Most teams have already had a few players report, but the first day pitchers and catchers are required to be with their respective teams tomorrow. But, each team choses their day, which some have set for as late as February 23, which is their first day of pitcher and catcher’s workouts.
Here’s the breakdown of when each team has them report, by date:
Wednesday, February 18
Pitchers and catchers report for Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Indians and Pittsburgh Pirates.
Thursday, February 19
Pitchers and catchers report for Arizona Diamondbacks, Baltimore Orioles, Chicago Cubs, Kansas City Royals, Los Angeles Angels, New York Mets, Oakland Athletics, St. Louis Cardinals, San Diego Padres and Washington Nationals.
Pitchers and catchers first workout for Cincinnati Reds, Philadelphia Phillies, Pittsburgh Pirates and San Francisco Giants.
Friday, February 20
Pitchers and catchers report for Atlanta Braves, Boston Red Sox, Chicago White Sox, Houston Astros, Miami Marlins, Milwaukee Brewers, New York Yankees, Seattle Marlins and Texas Rangers.
Pitchers and catchers first workout for Arizona Diamondbacks, Baltimore Orioles, Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox, Cleveland Indians, Detroit Tigers, Kansas City Royals, Los Angeles Angels, Los Angeles Dodgers, Miami Marlins, Oakland Athletics, St. Louis Cardinals and San Diego Padres.
Saturday, February 21
Pitchers and catchers report for Tampa Bay Rays.
Pitchers and catchers first workout for Atlanta Braves, Boston Red Sox, Colorado Rockies, Houston Astros, New York Mets, New York Yankees, Seattle Mariners, Texas Rangers, and Washington Nationals.
Sunday, February 22
Pitchers and catchers report for Minnesota Twins.
Pitchers and catchers first workout for Milwaukee Brewers.
Monday, February 23
Pitchers and catchers first workout for Minnesota Twins, Tampa Bay Rays and Toronto Blue Jays.
