These guys are good.
Dustin Johnson hit a hole-in-one on Saturday at Trump National Doral during the WGC Cadillac Championship in Miami.
The ace came on the 4th hole, a 227-yard par-3. It helped move Johnson into 4th place.
Check it out:
There was somewhat of an awkward moment after the ace.
There is an unwritten rule in golf that if a player hits a hole-in-one, they are supposed to buy a round of drinks for the group in the clubhouse. NBC announcer Jimmy Roberts made note of that, saying on the broadcast “that’s a lot of drinks to buy.”
Problem is, Johnson spent some time in rehab recently and did so because of his drinking, as he told ESPN:
(I) would drink and drink to excess … the change I made is, I just don’t do that anymore.
Roberts probably wants a mulligan for that remark.
Though Johnson’s hole-in-one did win a lucky fan free mortgage payments from Quicken Loans.
