While Kansas and Iowa State have already locked up spots in the NCAA Tournament, there is one last bit of business the Jayhawks and Cyclones must tend to before finding out their seeds on Selection Sunday.
Saturday the two battle for the Big 12 Tournament championship in Kansas City.
The teams split their two meetings this season – both winning their home contest.
The No. 13 and tournament 2-seed Cyclones (24-8) come into the final providing much drama in their two postseason games – they won on a buzzer beater vs. Texas and rallied from 11 points down to beat Oklahoma in the semifinal.
The top-seeded Jayhawks (26-7), ranked No. 9 in the AP poll, knocked off TCU and Baylor to reach the final. They have won 11-straight regular season Big 12 titles.
The game is scheduled to tip off at 6 p.m. Eastern on ESPN. Brent Musburger (play-by-play), Fran Fraschilla (analyst) and Holly Rowe (reporter) are on the call.
