With less than 20 days left until his highly anticipated May 2 showdown with pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr., Pacquiao’s training camp is full swing, and trainer Freddie Roach is running a tight ship.
“I have a rule in training camp this time that if you aren’t being productive in the gym for training, then you can’t be around,” Pacquiao’s trainer Freddie Roach said. “The strategy of this fight is very important and different from past fights. We can’t have any spies in the gym; we are just working on the game plan and focusing on what Floyd is doing.”
Undefeated 11-time world champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (47-0, 26 KOs) held his open workout Tuesday at the Mayweather Boxing Club in Las Vegas. Watch the entire workout here:
Mayweather vs. Pacquiao airs live May 2 on Showtime PPV and HBO Pay-Per-View, beginning at 9:00 p.m. ET/ 6:00 p.m. PT.
