About the NASCAR-DraftKings Deal
NASCAR and DraftKings announced the 3-year deal on May 14. It gives DraftKings an exclusive license to develop NASCAR-branded games in the fantasy sports landscape.
The agreement allows DraftKings a direct access to real-time statistics from NASCAR Digital Media, which will enable up-to-the-minute scoring updates and information.
Steve Phelps, NASCAR’s executive vice president and chief marketing officer, said in a statement:
Pursuing ways to connect with our fans on a daily basis while enhancing their viewing experience has been paramount to NASCAR, and fantasy sports is a core tenet of that strategy. We are committed to growing our fan base, increasing engagement and diversifying our audience and partnering with DraftKings will strongly support all of these efforts.
Jason Robins, CEO and co-founder of DraftKings, added:
We’re thrilled to partner with NASCAR to bring auto racing enthusiasts across the country an unmatched fan experience.
