Despite the absence of Chris Paul and little rest after a dramatic Game 7 win against San Antonio in the last round, the Clippers delivered a dominating second-half performance to rout the Houston Rockets in Game 1 of the Western Conference semifinals. The teams meet again on Wednesday night in Game 2 at the Toyota Center in a must-win game for the Rockets, who looked sloppy after not playing for six days.
Without Paul running the offense, Blake Griffin shined in posting a triple-double in the first game with 26 points, 14 rebounds and 13 assists. Paul is “50-50” for Game 2 according to head coach Doc Rivers.
