It’s just about time for the drivers to start their engines.
On Sunday, the 99th running of the Indianapolis 500 opens a full day of exciting racing in the United States.
“The Greatest Spectacle in Racing” has a green flag time scheduled for approximately 12:15 p.m. Eastern at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Scott Dixon is on the pole and is the race favorite with 9/2 odds by the sportsbooks. Joining him in Row 1 are Penske teammates Will Power (6/1 odds) and Simon Pagenaud (5/1).
2014 winner Ryan Hunter-Reay begins on the inside of Row 6 and has 25/1 odds. Helio Castroneves, who is looking for a record-tying 4th Indy 500 victory, starts in the middle of Row 2 with 13/2 odds.
