Fighting out of Austin, Texas, hard-hitting James “Mandingo Warrior” Kirkland has been in the pro boxing game since 2001 and has a ring record of 32-2, with 28 KOs. His reputation as a slugger is confirmed by an outstanding 85% knockout ratio.
The former NABO and WBC Continental Americas champion holds wins over verified maulers Brian Vera, Alfredo Angulo, Carlos Molina, and Glen Tapia.
Kirkland was last in action on 9 May 2015, suffering the second loss of his career, courtesy of a third-round KO from Canelo Alvarez.
