The NASCAR season brings its All-Star festivities to Charlotte Motor Speedway in North Carolina this weekend.
Kicking off the events is the Sprint Showdown, which consists of 2 20-lap segments. The winner of each transfers over into Saturday’s main event, the All-Star Race.
To qualify for Saturday’s All-Star Race a driver must have 1) won a points race in either 2014 or 2015, 2) won a previous All-Star Race or 3) be a former Sprint Cup Series champion who had a full-time ride in 2014.
Those who do not qualify will race in Friday’s Showdown. The race is Friday night at 7:15 p.m. Eastern and will be televised by FOX Sports 1.
Showdown qualifying begins at 4:15 p.m. on FOX Sports 1.
The All-Star Race closes out the action on Saturday night. It airs on FS1 at 9 p.m. Eastern. Get a preview of the race here.
