Clint Bowyer won the second segment of the Sprint Showdown Friday night from Charlotte Motor Speedway in North Carolina.
With the win, he advances to Saturday night’s All-Star Race. Bowyer also won the second segment in the 2014 Showdown.
Greg Biffle won Friday’s first segment and clinched a spot in Saturday’s main event. Biffle led all but one of the 20 laps.
Danica Patrick, who finished 9th, also will participate in the All-Star Race after winning the fan vote.
The All-Star Race begins at 9 p.m. Eastern and can be seen on FOX Sports 1.
