Cleveland Cavaliers guard Iman Shumpert left Game 3 of the NBA Finals in the first quarter, after only playing seven minutes against the Golden State Warriors, with an apparent shoulder injury.
The Cavs, already hindered by a handful of injuries to their starters, lost Shumpert after getting caught between Draymond Green and Steph Curry on a rough screen attempt. Analysts are saying the injury looked similar to the one Chicago’s Jimmy Butler sustained against the Clippers in March.
Here’s a wider angle view of the play:
Shumpert returned to the Cavs bench midway through the second quarter when the team announced that was available to play. This isn’t Shumpert’s first run-in with shoulder injuries. He previously dislocated his shoulder earlier this season when he was still playing with the New York Knicks.
