Day’s wife Ellie is an Ohio girl, born and raised in Lucas. Lucas is a town of about 600 and Ellie’s 2004 graduating high school class had roughly 35 students in it.
When Jason and Ellie began dating, they traveled to across America to each tournament in an RV.
That changed in 2010, when Days, who married in October 2009, purchased a $2.425 million home.
The couple stayed in Ohio, moving to Westerville, which is a suburb of Columbus. The sprawling home sits on a lake.
5. Day Came From Humble Beginnings
Growing up in Australia, Day and his family didn’t have much.
He told Golf Magazine he found his first golf club in a garbage heap and bought his clothes at Salvation Army.
Day said he was teased because he looked like a “refugee.”
He didn’t have much luck early in his United States life. He had his 2004 Cadillac EXT stolen from a store parking lot in Texas.
