Bayern Munich won their third straight Bundesliga title in 2014-2015 and has not finished beneath third in the Bundesliga in eight seasons, and when they did they finished fourth in 2006-2007. Bayern has turned their focus to Europe over the past five seasons, where they won a 2012-2013 Champions League title and were in the semifinals of the 2014-2015 Champions League, but lost to Barcelona. The German giants have been busy this offseason in building their 2015-2016 roster, adding Douglas Costa and rumored to add Arturo Vidal, but have lost veteran Bastian Schweinsteiger to Manchester United and may be swapping Mario Gotze for Vidal with Juventus. Bayern have one of the more solid teams in Europe, and will be aided in 2015-2016 by healthy seasons from Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben, so additions to this team need to be minimal if any.

Bayern opens their schedule with a home game against Hamburg before back-to-back games against top-10 teams from 2014-2015, traveling to Hoffenheim and hosting Leverkusen. They have a relatively light ending to the season, with three of their last four games against bottom of the table teams from 2014-2015, but do play European competitors Gladbach and Schalke in their last five games. Der Klassiker between Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich will be contested in Munich on October 3, 2015 and in Dortmund on March 6, 2016.
