The famed-Daytona International Speedway is the site for Sunday’s Coke Zero 400.
The 2.5-mile oval is quite a different layout from last week’s Toyota/Save Mart 350 from Sonoma’s road course.
The restrictor plate race usually offers some fireworks on the track to close out the Fourth of July weekend.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. is on the pole after inclement weather canceled Saturday night’s qualifying. The lineup was set on first practice speeds. Austin Dillon and Clint Bowyer will begin second and third.
The Coke Zero 400 also is the first race where the TV coverage shifts to the NBC family of networks.
Sunday’s race green flag time is approximately at 8:04 p.m. Eastern and it will be televised on NBC.
