How to Watch Special Olympics Opening Ceremony

The Inspiring Opening Ceremony of the Special Olympics World Games Los Angeles is set to begin at 8 p.m. ET at the historic Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on Saturday night.

ESPN will be broadcasting the ceremony in its entirety and will cover the entire mulit-day event on its group of networks as well. The opening ceremony includes the Parade of Athletes and the culmination of the Final Leg of the Law Enforcement Torch Run as well as the lighting of the Special Olympics cauldron. A handful of celebrities are also slated to appear, including Jimmy Kimmel, Michael Phelps, Yao Ming and Eva Longoria.

The night will also include performances by Stevie Wonder, Avril Lavigne, Nicole Scherzinger and O.A.R. The Special Olympics competition officially gets underway on Sunday, July 26 and closing ceremonies are scheduled for August 2.
