New signing Florian Thauvin opened his account with this goal in the Capital One Cup in midweek, and will likely be in the starting lineup against Arsenal.
Thauvin cost $20 million from Marseille and is widely regarded for his playmaking ability. The 22-year-old has been capped at every age level for the French national team and is on the fringe of making his debut for the senior team.
The Gunners have injury concerns ahead of the trip to St. James’ Park. The center back pairing of Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny are once again expected to miss out through injury after missing the Liverpool match.
