Two spots in the championship games of both the United States and International sides of the Little League World Series brackets are up for grabs on Wednesday. Here’s the TV schedule for the two games of the day:
Wednesday, August 26
Game 23: Venezuela vs. Japan, 4 p.m. on ESPN
Game 24: Texas vs. Pennsylvania, 8 p.m. on ESPN
Venezuela comes into the day fresh off victories over Australia and Uganda, while Japan defeated Mexico 3-1 on Sunday. Meanwhile, on the U.S. side of things, Texas edged out Oregon 1-0 in the opener and then defeated California 8-4 on Sunday. Pennsylvania is, for all intents and purposes, the home team here and it’s showed. The squad defeated Missouri 18-0 in the opener and then brought the dramatics with a 9-8 win over South Carolina.
None of these teams have lost yet so a loss on Wednesday does not spell the end. The two losing teams on Wednesday will play again on Thursday with the chance to play in their respective championship games.
