The Rams hope to bring some of the fire they showed in practice this week to Nashville, when they take on the Titans Saturday, St. Louis is coming off a trip to California and a week of scrimmaging with the Cowboys.
For the Titans, it’s all about the continued development of Marcus Mariota. The team is showing improvement in year two under Ken Whisenhunt, especially on the defensive front. That will be meaningless if Tennessee doesn’t get consistency from their quarterback, an issue that has plagued the Titans in years past.
Here’s a look at everything you need to know:

Rams Player to Watch: Aaron Donald
The strength of the Rams’ defense this year will undoubtedly be their front seven. They have great players inside and outside the defensive line, and Aaron Donald can make the group even stronger. He’s had a great training camp, and could be a staple in the line rotation this season.
Donald will get a chance to prove himself against a Titans line that is one of their strengths. Chance Warmack and Brian Schwenke are a top guard-center combination, and should provide a tough test for Donald on Sunday.
Titans Player to Watch: Marcus Mariota
The Titans want to see more positives from Mariota in his second game, after a less-than-ideal start in the opener against Atlanta. Mariota threw a bad interception early, but rebounded and strung some nice plays together before being subbed out.
It’s a positive sign that Mariota showed a short memory against Atlanta. It was a lazy pass, and it deserved to get intercepted. What Titans fans want to see Sunday are those errors corrected, and more time under center for their franchise QB.
