Valencia finished fourth in La Liga, returning to the Champions League once again. Valencia only had two losses in La Liga in 2015 and their 77 points were their most since finishing with 77 points in 2007-2008. As Valencia have more matches in 2015-2016, they have spent over 100 euro this offseason on their roster, locking in Alvaro Negrado and signing Rodrigo, Joao Cancelo, Andre Gomes, Santi Mina, and Danilo.

Valencia has the easiest first two months of the season of any of the title chasers, does not play a team from La Liga that qualified for Europe until a match with Athletic Bilbao on October 4, 2015, and does not play a fellow top-four team until traveling to Atletico Madrid on October 25. In November and January, Valencia plays Sevilla and Barcelona and Villareal and Real Madrid back-to-back respectively and Valencia travels to Real Madrid on the second to last weekend of the season.
