It will be either South Carolina or Virginia represeting the Southeast United States in the 2015 Little League World Series.
The Northwood Little League from Taylors, SC, has dominated the regional thus far, winning all three of its games by a combined score of 32-10. Alex Edmondson has been the star, going 6-for-9 with home runs in each of the three games and six RBI. He also struck out 13 in just four innings–seriously–against North Carolina.
They’re looking to make some impressive history for the state:
For Virginia, it has been a slightly different path. After a second-round loss to Florida, the boys from Mechanicsville National Little League had to travel through the loser’s bracket. It was there that they hung an unbelievable 30-spot against West Virginia, then scored 10 against Tennessee and got revenge on Florida to book a spot in the championship.
