The PGA Tour playoff season is winding down, but Heavy’s partners at DraftKings are still giving away millions of dollars this month.
Sign up for DraftKings here and enter the PGA $700K Drive the Green fantasy golf contest for this week’s leg of the FedExCup Playoffs, the BMW Championship. Turn your $3 entry fee into the first-place prize of $100,000.
As mentioned above, the winner takes home $100,000 and DraftKings is paying out a guaranteed $700,000 in total prize money for the BMW Championship from Illinois. Second place wins $50,000 and third gets $30K. Over 59,000 entered teams will be paid.
The buy-in is $3 and the contest gets underway on Thursday, September 17, from Conway Farms Golf Club in Lake Forest, Illinois. Your fantasy lineups must be set by 12:20 a.m. Eastern.
The rules are simple: With a $50,000 salary cap, pick 6 golfers you feel will play the best at Conway Farms GC. The better your selected players do on the course, the better your fantasy team does, the more money you make. You’ll need to get the players who make birdies and pars, but who will also play all 4 rounds. If you have players in your lineup who miss the cut, you’re likely to walk away empty-handed on Sunday. Check out the scoring key at the bottom of the post.

The top 70 remaining players in the FedExCup Playoffs will tee it up Thursday with a trip to next week’s Tour Championship on the line. The top 30 in the rankings will make it to that event.
I have a few lineups entered in the contest, a couple which I’ll share below. I feel confident in these two, so we will see what happens. I’ve identified the pros currently playing and those who have had past success on this course:
Lineup 1
Jim Furyk, $10,000 — Furyk has 4 top 12 finishes in his past 5 events. He shot a 59 at this course in 2013.
Zach Johnson, $9,500 — Johnson has been one of the most reliable players this summer and won here in 2013.
Matt Kuchar, $9,200 — Cut-making machine is a near-lock to be around all weekend and in contention.
Chris Kirk, $7,300 — Coming off a T29 at Deutsche Bank is a great sign his thumb is healed.
Brian Harman, $7,100 — Playing great golf, with a T30 and T12 in the past 2 tournaments.
Shawn Stefani, $6,900 — He isn’t playing great, but the price is right for a guy who consistently makes cuts.
Lineup 2
Rory McIlroy, $12,100 — Have a feeling about Rory this weekend as he is rounding into form.
Louis Oosthuizen, $8,400 — Oosthuizen has gone T42, T30 to T12 in the past 3 and is looking to clinch a spot in the top 30.
Kevin Kisner, $8,100 — Has 2 consecutive top 20s, including T12 last week. Good bet to be around all 4 rounds.
Justin Thomas, $7,600 — He’s been hit-or-miss lately, but makes cuts and has a great price.
Brendon Todd, $7,000 — Kind of the off-the-grid sleeper. He’s coming off 2-straight made cuts and playing well enough to make a little noise.
Brendon de Jonge, $6,800 — Coming off a T22 and finished T18 here 2 years ago. Bargain price, too.
