Towards the end of the ESPN broadcast Kirk Herbstreit announced that ESPN College Gameday will be on hand for the Oregon and Michigan State game for week two.
College Gameday is headed to East Lansing, Michigan as Oregon takes on Michigan State. The matchup features two top ten teams and figures to play some role in factoring into the College Football Playoff conversation at the end of the season. The two teams faced each other last season and Oregon won 46-27.
The game will be the nation’s first look at new Oregon quarterback Vernon Adams. Adams is a graduate transfer from Eastern Washington who many expect to be a dynamic playmaker. Michigan State has a veteran presence in Connor Cook at quarterback.
This past week Gameday was in Fort Worth for the Alabama and Wisconsin game. The show was marked Rece Davis’ first show as the new host. Additionally, Chris Fowler was brought onto the set for a touching tribute.
Now the question is whether Lee Corso will put on Sparty’s head or a duck head.
