DeSean Jackson hasn’t played football in far too long.
Don’t worry, he’s just as frustrated as you are about that. The Washington Redskins wide receiver missed the preseason with a hamstring injury before partially tearing his left hamstring in the first quarter last Sunday. Jackson is expected to miss three to four weeks and takes away the biggest offensive threat the Redskins have. He told The Washington Post he hopes to get back on the field sooner rather than later:
You never know. Hopefully I can get back faster. It was scary because my legs, my speed are what I do good at. I’m a fast guy. I know without me being able to run at that speed I’m at, I’m not gonna be able to do much out there on the field.
The big question now is who does Kirk Cousins pass to with the St. Louis Rams coming to town this weekend. According to head coach Jay Gruden suggested the team will turn to Rashad Ross and rookie Jamison Crowd, a former Arizona State track star who worked out with Jackson this summer.
Kickoff for the game is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET with Dick Stockton and David Diehl on the call. It will be broadcast regionally on FOX. Click here to see if you fall in the coverage zone.
