How to Watch Rugby World Cup Opening Ceremony 2015

Before England and Fiji raise the curtain on the 2015 Rugby World Cup, the hosts are going to provide a little history lesson.

According to The Daily Mail’s Nik Simon, the opening ceremony will “tell the story of the sport’s birth,” which will include a scene with William Webb Ellis–of who the Rugby World Cup trophy is named after–catching and running with a football for the first time while at Rugby School in 1823. It certainly won’t be as extravagant as London’s opening ceremony at the 2012 Olympics, but the show at the famed Twickenham Stadium will be worth watching nonetheless.

And it won’t drag on, as some things of these nature often do. With England scheduled to take on Fiji at 8 p.m. BST, the show, which begins an hour earlier, will last only 20 minutes at most. Producers are even prepared to cut acts if it looks like it will go any longer.

Before one of the biggest sports tournaments in the world gets started, the opening ceremony is good way to get an idea of the captivating atmosphere in Twickenham. Here’s everything you need to know to watch:
