In the first half of Chelsea’s Premier League match with Everton, 27-year-old defensive midfielder Nemanja Matic fired this beauty past American goalie Tim Howard.
Matic has only scored four goals in two-plus seasons with Chelsea, but this one will be one to remember. It pulled Chelsea to within 2-1 after a pair of Steven Naismith goals gave Everton a surprise 2-0 lead.
Matic came to Chelsea in January, 2014 from Benfica in a transfer totaling $30 million.
Chelsea defeated Everton 6-3 last season.
