Matt Harvey has been dealing tonight. He’s also been showing off his toughness.
In the sixth inning, Harvey took a line drive right in the shoulder off the bat of Dexter Fowler. The ball bounced straight up, hitting him in the back before landing on the mound. Without missing a beat, Harvey recovered the ball and threw Fowler out at first to keep the bases clear.
Harvey waved off trainers and continued, finishing the inning without surrendering a hit. Harvey gave up a run in the fifth, but otherwise has been lights-out in Game One.
