It’s time to get back to the diamond and forget about yesterday.
The Toronto Blue Jays made their decades-in-the-making postseason return on Thursday afternoon and it didn’t go great. The Texas Rangers jumped out to an early lead and held on for a 5-3 victory at the Rogers Centre as David Price became the first MLB pitcher to go 0-6 in postseason starts.
That wasn’t all. Josh Donaldson and Adrian Beltre both left the game with injuries and are questionable to play this afternoon. But, more importantly, who will be on the field this afternoon and who will be pitching?
Marcus Stroman will get the start for the Blue Jays while Cole Hamels will go for Texas. Let’s just say Strolman was a little excited:

How to Watch Rangers-Blue Jays Online
If you have access to a cable subscription, you can watch the game online for free through MLB Network Live. You’ll need the log-in and password for a cable subscription — either yours or someone else’s — to access the stream. Frequently asked questions about MLB Network Live can be found here.
MLB is also offering different ways to watch online. Postseason.TV costs $9.99 for the entire playoffs and allows users to watch live alternative video feeds (different from the regular TV broadcast and with no announcers) of the game. MLB.tv also costs $9.99 for the playoffs, and it allows users who are able to authenticate a cable subscription with a log-in and password to watch the live broadcast online.
International users outside United States and Canada can watch every postseason game live online through MLB.tv for $24.99. No cable subscription is necessary. The games will be archived and available in blacked-out areas 90 minutes after completion.
How to Watch Rangers-Blue Jays on Mobile
Users with a subscription to Postseason.TV or MLB.tv can watch the game live on the MLB.com At Bat app, which is free to download from the Apple store, the Google Play store or the Amazon app store. You can also see in-game video highlights, batting, pitching and fielding statistics.
For those in Canada, SportsNet 590 is broadcasting a live audio-only broadcast of the game with Jerry Howart, Joe Siddall and Mike Wilner on the call.
