What a difference a year makes.
Actually, it was still 2015 when the Patriots and Colts last met. The Patriots crushed to Colts, 45-7 in the AFC Championship, but there were other storylines involved. Footballs, air pressure, and equipment managers became our conversations for the next month, which gave way to documents, hearings, and destroyed cell phones.
One point remains after the DeflateGate drama: the Patriots are still a really good football team. That should hardly change Sunday night against the Colts, who the Pats have manhandled in their last three meetings.
If the Colts thought calling out the Patriots would impart on them some good karma, they would be wrong. The Colts have had numerous bad breaks this season, the only positive being their schedule. Indy is on the heels of three straight victories, all at the hands of division opponents. That should make tonight’s result negligible, as these teams are once again headed on a collision course to the postseason.
Kickoff is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. EST with Al Michaels and Chris Collinsworth in the booth. Here’s how to catch the game online and on mobile:
