In what could easily be a preview of a late-May playoff matchup, the San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder kick off the 2015-16 NBA regular season with a meeting at Chesapeake Energy Arena.

The Spurs have seemingly never had to make major offseason additions during their near two-decade reign of excellence, but that changed this year when they went out and added All-Star power forward LaMarcus Aldridge to the mix. It will be interesting to see how he gels with a team that is always so high on team chemistry.

For the Thunder, it will be the NBA coaching debut of Billy Donovan. The transition from college to the pros has been a difficult one for many others, but having a healthy Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and Serge Ibaka should make things a little easier for the former Florida coach.

There are 14 games on the slate for Wednesday, but this is probably the most intriguing. Tip is at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN. If you can’t get to a TV, here’s how to watch online or on mobile, including a free option from Sling TV:
