Connor Cook said all week he planned on playing against Ohio State, but he did not get the start against Ohio State. Cook warmed up before the game, but evidently did not show he was healthy enough to play against the Buckeyes. Cook had been nursing a sore shoulder.
Junior Tyler O’Connor got the start for the Spartans in place of the injured Cook. The Spartans entered the game as double-digit underdogs.
With the news of Cook remaining on the sidelines the situation looks even bleaker for Spartans fans. No word yet whether Cook has been ruled out for the game. We will continue to update this as more details are released.
