Australian jockey Tim Bell died tragically after falling from his apartment balcony in Singapore on the morning of November 4. He was 22 years old. The jockey had just begun a three-month stint racing in the Asian nation. He's being mourned throughout the racing world as one of the sport's most exciting talents.
He's survived by his girlfriend, Heidi Whalley, as well as his parents, Grant and Keiley.
Police in Singapore continue to investigate with media in Bell's native land describing his death as "non-racing." Racing reporter Steve Hewlett tweeted that Bell fell from the balcony of his home in an apartment building in Singapore. A police investigation is underway in Singapore, reports Sky Sports Radio's Andrew Bensley. Hewlett adds that Bell was trying to get back into his home after locking himself out. The Gold Coast Bulletin also reports this information.
