It was a 0-0 draw in the 2018 CONCACAF World Cup Qualifier between the United States and Trinidad and Tobago. After going wild on St. Vincent and the Grenadines on November 13, 2015 in a 6-1 victory, the Americans could not muster a strong attempt at net for most of the game and were held goaless for the second time in three games.

Trinidad and Tobago scored three times to beat Guatemala in their last CONCACAF fixture against Guatemala, a 3-1 win, but could not take advantage of their 13 shots. The Americans had 60% possession for the game, but that was not enough to do any real damage, as the United States only had one shot on goal.

Trinidad and Tobago frustrated the United States with their quick ball handling:

The best opportunity for the United States, and maybe either team, was when United States midfielder Jermaine Jones saw a shot thunder off of the crossbar from long range in the 78th minute:

USA goalie Tim Howard‘s reaction as defender Matt Besler tied his shoes explained everything:

It was a punchless game, the last of 2015 for Team USA and Trinidad and Tobago.
