England and Spain are already on their way to EURO 2016, but there are important tune-ups in the days ahead.
Both teams will play two matches including tonight, and then won’t reunite until preparations for the June tournament. As reigning champions, Spain is guaranteed a spot in Pot 1. England will join them, along with Germany, Portugal, and Belgium.
Spain may be the champs, but England has a reason to walk tall into Alicante today. The Three Lions went undefeated in their ten EURO qualifying match, and haven’t lost since their World Cup exit in 2014.
Both teams will have one more game on Tuesday before players return to their clubs. England will square off against France, and Spain will face Belgium.
Today’s game will be available on WatchESPN in the US at 2:45 p.m. Eastern.
