Let’s take a look inside some of the numbers for running backs before getting into the Week 10 rankings for the position:
— Minnesota’s Adrian Peterson is on pace for 1,516 yards, which would be the third-highest mark of his 9-year career.
— There has been a 1,500-yard rusher in every season since 2008.
— Baltimore’s Justin Forsett led the NFL with 17 rushes of 20+ yards in 2014. This year he is on pace for 10.
— Seattle’s Marshawn Lynch has 4-straight 1,000-yard seasons. This year he’s on pace for exactly 1,000 yards (62.5 yards per game).
— The Chargers’ Danny Woodhead leads all running backs with 521 receiving yards, more than Green Bay’s Randall Cobb (476), San Francisco’s Torrey Smith (386) and Buffalo’s Sammy Watkins (315).
— Despite being out for the season, Pittsburgh’s Le’Veon Bell has lost just one fumble in 799 career touches (647 rushes, 152 receptions). That came in his rookie season. In fact, that’s the only time Bell has ever put the ball on the ground.
