Bengals fans and fantasy owners received bad news when Andy Dalton left the game against the Steelers in the first quarter with a thumb injury. He was quickly ruled out for the game and was seen on the sidelines wearing a cast.
McCarron entered the game with just four career passes. Football fans may remember McCarron from his college football career at Alabama where he led the Crimson Tide to back-to-back titles.
It has been a good week for McCarron as he and his wife, Katherine Webb, announced they are having a boy.
The question fantasy owners want to know is whether McCarron is worth adding to your fantasy team. If his initial play is any indication, yes. He threw this 70-yard touchdown bomb to A.J. Green:
McCarron was 4-of-6 for 77 yards and a touchdown in the first half. He is worth monitoring if you need help at quarterback, but he does not have the same fantasy value as Dalton.
