Game Preview:
The Packers head to the desert, where they could be returning in a matter of weeks.
The way the NFC playoffs are shaking out, Green Bay is projected as the third seed, and will host Minnesota in the opening round. If they advance, they will meet second seed Arizona, who can clinch the first-round bye with a win today. nfc play
The last time these teams met in the playoffs, it was a ridiculous game with 96 combined points. Kurt Warner threw more touchdown passes (5) than incompletions (4) for the Cardinals, and just barely out-dueled Aaron Rodgers in his first-ever playoff start back in 2010.
Kurt Warner has long retired, but the Cardinals have another power arm in the pocket in Carson Palmer. Cam Newton may be dominating the MVP conversation, but at age 36, Palmer is putting up the best numbers of his career. He’s on pace for over 4500 passing yards and 35 touchdowns, both of which would be career-highs.
