It’s always tough to predict what will happen when a great offense meets a top-ranked defense. And while the Broncos have already beaten the likes of Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers this season, the Steelers are operating on another level. The Broncos are heading east, where they are more than a touchdown underdog according to sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.
Pittsburgh is listed at -6.5 for Sunday, a line that hasn’t moved much this week. There would certainly be movement had Peyton Manning been declared fit to play, but Vegas doesn’t seem too fond of Brock Osweiler on the road.
Pittsburgh’s offense is hot, but it almost feels like they’re due for a down game. This is the fourth time the Steelers have won back-to-back games this season, and they’ve yet to win a third straight. That kind of inconsistency could rear it’s ugly head and if it does, the Steelers could find themselves making early vacation plans.
The point total for this game is set at 45. Four of Denver’s last six road games have gone under, and the same could be said about Pittsburgh’s last six at Heinz Field.
While all signs point to the under, the Steelers offense has proven they can move the ball on anybody. And given the lack of wiggle room in the Wild Card race, this might as well be a playoff game for the Steelers.
The OddsShark Computer is projecting a 27.2-18.6 Steelers victory.
