Singer Andy Grammer kicked things off with the national anthem prior to the AFC championship between the New England Patriots and Denver Broncos. Grammer is known for such hits as “Keep Your Head Up”.
The AFC championship marked the 17th meeting between Tom Brady and Peyton Manning. Brady leads the head to head matchups with an 11-5 record.
The winner of the AFC Championship Game will head to Super Bowl 50 to face the winner of the NFC Championship. Arizona Cardinals and Carolina Panthers square off in the second game of the day.
Super Bowl 50 takes place on February 7 from Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
