Chelsea are unbeaten in five matches under Guus Hiddink, and they look to keep rolling against West Brom. The Baggies have also won consecutive league matches, and need a positive result to stay ahead of Chelsea in the BPL table.
Chelsea’s recent play has been raised with a resurgence from Diego Costa. The Spaniard, who scored 20 goals during Chelsea’s title run, had just four goals under Mourinho this season. He’s already doubled that total under Hiddink, but suffered a knock in Chelsea’s FA match against Scunthorpe. He is “doubtful” for today’s match. Costa will join a slew of other important Blues on the bench, including Oscar and Eden Hazard.
West Brom has their own injury woes, but are finally getting one of their own back. Ben Foster is returning to the field after ACL surgery, making his debut in FA Cup action earlier this week. Foster will now compete with backup Boaz Myhill, who made 30 starts in Forster’s absence, for the number one job. Both keepers could be playing for a spot on EURO 2016 rosters, with Foster and Myhill competing for England and Wales, respectively.
