The New England Patriots are the early favorites to defeat the Denver Broncos in the AFC championship game. The game will take place Sunday, January 24th at 3:05 p.m. ET on CBS.
According to Jeff Sherman, the Patriots opened as a 2.5 point favorite against the Broncos. The over-under is set at 45 points. RJ Bell quickly reported that the line had already moved the Patriots up to three point favorites.
A few minutes later and the line had moved again toward the Patriots as 3.5 point favorites.
Denver and New England faced each other in Week 12 of the regular season. The Broncos won 30-24 and gave the Patriots their first loss of the season.
This matchup will be different as it will be the latest installment in the Tom Brady and Peyton Manning rivalry. In the earlier matchup, Brock Osweiler got the start for the Broncos while Manning was out with an injury.
The last time Brady and Manning faced each other was during the 2014 season. New England cruised to a 43-21 victory.
