USMNT have been holding their January camp in California, as they prep for a busy calendar of competition. Jurgen Klinsmann has split the squad, as he evaluates senior members for World Cup qualifying and U-23 players for the Rio Olympics. The split has allowed some of the more veteran players to relax, while opening the door for lots of fresh faces on the USMNT roster.
One of those faces not included today will be Matt Miazga. The New Jersey native had plenty of attention this week, as he was signed on a transfer to play for Chelsea.
Iceland may be unknown to some, but they have a good mix of youth and experienced talent heading into a huge summer for the club. Iceland qualified for their first-ever major tournament in EURO 2016, but most of that roster has not been called up for today’s friendly.
